A culinary institution of brashness and old-school Italian cuisine has been a meeting point for St. Tropez elite for over 20-years. With an abundance of gold-leaf furniture and mythical oil paintings, the setting could just as easily be in Las Vegas or a Versace store - if not for the crowd. During the summer (although open year-round), glasses of Moet are tipped by wayward breasts flaunted throughout the lounge and dining room for celebrities ranging from Vin Diesel to George Clooney. Serving up seriously delicious Italian food, the restaurant attracts a post-tanning party crowd of 50-something's and their 20-something companions out to eat and be loud.
The Food
Food is fabulous and so is the scenery, providing you're not too uptight, too serious about service, or out for a quiet romantic evening (with your spouse). Appetizers like grilled calamari and insalata caprese make for great starters and leave room for heartier entrees like Filet with summer truffles as well as fresh catches from the local seafood market. Homemade pasta is a prerequisite, topped-off with divine seafood sauces and Italian-truffles.
Last Word
Wear your skimpiest skirt and enjoy some of St Tropez’s messiest and most entertaining people-watching whilst dining on seriously-delicious Italian cuisine.
